Dennis Chan, DVM

Dr. Dennis Chan joined the University Animal Hospital team in 2020. Although he grew up in Queens he pursued his dream of becoming a veterinarian at Western University of Health Sciences in California. After getting his DVM in California, Dennis moved back to Manhattan and completed a small animal rotating internship at The BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital. Dr. Chan then moved outside of the city where he spent a year pursuing specialty training in Internal Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania: Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital. Ultimately, his love for New York brought him back to NYC!

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Chan loves all things outdoors (camping, hiking, backpacking). He also enjoys music, Muay Thai, and spending time with his friends and family.
