Low Residue is back! Effective immediately, we are now re-stocking a limited supply of foods that had been affected by the Iams and Eukanuba Voluntary Food Recall.

Proctor and Gamble have made us aware of the many changes that they have made to improve safety and compliance, to make sure that your pet is getting the most nutritious, healthy, and complete diet available. P&G have invested over 20 million dollars in processes, equipment and people at their manufacturing facilities to upgrade their manufacturing facilities. To date, there has not been a single case of salmonella-related illnesses in pets or people linked to the recalled food.

We appreciate the patience you’ve shown during this food recall, and are pleased to announce that we have many of the foods back in stock, and should be receiving more soon. Important Notice– Recall of Select Iams Veterinary Formula Dry Dog or Cat food and Select Eukanuba products!!

Proctor and Gamble voluntarily recalled two specific lots of renal dry cat food on June 25,2010 due to a possible salmonella health risk. As a further precaution, Proctor and Gamble is now expanding the voluntarily recall to include additional veterinary formulas and some specialized Eukanuba dry pet food.

No illnesses have been reported, but in cooperation with the FDA, P&G
determined that some product may have been contaminated. As a precautionary measure, P&G is suspending operations at the facility these items were made and recalling all dry pet food manufactured within this plant.

No canned food, biscuits/treats, or supplements are affected by this announcement.

Products Involved:

  • Iams Veterinary Formulas — All dry sizes and varieties.
  • Eukanuba Naturally Wild — All dry sizes and varieties
  • Eukanuba Pure — All dry sizes and varieties
  • Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive Skin — All dry sizes

If you have purchased any food on the recall list, please throw away any unused food and contact P&G at 877-340-8823 to get directions on how to get a refund. No receipts are necessary, and refunds apply to unopened bags as well as party used bags.

Recall of Iams Prescription Cat Food due to Salmonella Risk!

Feline Food Recall!

Proctor and Gamble is voluntarily recalling two lots of dry cat food that may be contaminated with Salmonella.

No illnesses have been reported, but an FDA analysis identified positive results on two lots of Iams Veterinary Formulas Feline Renal 5.5 lbs: numbers 01384174B4 0 19014 21405 1 and 01384174B2 0 19014 21405 1.
